Sumo with Zaki (Muak) and more. - 04 October
Zaki Lais is a man on a mission. A mission to bring the sound of deep house out from the underground and into the mainstream by any means necessary.

This mission, started out from a base in East London where Zaki grew up and still resides, has since led him on journeys across the globe to play, promote and produce the music he lives so passionately for.

Starting out on the early pirate radio stations Risk FM and Touch FM, Zaki helped to pioneer the deep house sound across London’s airwaves and was an instrumental figure behind the house music explosion of the mid 1990s.

This love affair quickly led onto more liaisons which saw him step out of the studio and into the DJ booth. First at some of London’s best nights and most infamous venues including Lazy Dog, Vertigo, The End, Turnmills, Egg and AKA and then onto others throughout the UK, Europe, America and Asia.

Now armed with a passion to entertain, and a vision to host his own parties, Zaki launched Muak (People Together) in 2003. Widely regarded as one of London’s best underground nights, it’s here where he can regularly be heard preaching the gospel of deep house music to a loyal following who share his vision to bring people together through a love of music and mutual respect sometimes so lacking from other promoters.

Not content to rest on his enviable achievements, next up was the launch of Muak (Music) where Zaki has overseen the production, release and promotion of quality deep house outputs from a range of home grown and international talent on both digital and physical formats.
dirty south. presents Trellion + Sniff - 03 October
dirty south. isn’t restricted by genres but in the idea of catering for distinctive types of music in todays industry, they feature artists from a contrasting variety of styles and background. For the night at Rhythm Factory they bring to you:

Sheffield based hip hop duo, TRELLION, co-founder of Bad Taste Records alongside SNIFF, have both done their fair share of collaborations but are mostly self-produced. True pioneers of UK hip hop, their music is described as the feeling of "suddenly finding yourself in a badly lit back room in Sheffield surrounded by slang spitting people smoking barbiturates and listening to Heltah Skeltah and Cypress Hill".

South London soundboy LAST JAPAN has been representing the low-end spectrum for some time now. He's always been one of those characters who has immersed himself in bass-heavy music, crafting tracks that pull influence from grime, dubstep, jungle and percussive Hessle Audio-style house. With releases on Signal Life, LNUK and Four40, he's garnered a strong reputation, reenforced by his most recent mixtape "Ride With Us".

AKITO, who's a founding member of London-based club night turned record label Sub Skank. Drawing on elements of grime, house, UK funky and dancehall, he released his 'Metamessage' EP earlier this year to widespread support. On the night you can expect an arsenal of fresh and inventive club music. Look out for his forthcoming release on Fools & Rushmore / House Of Trax's Trax Couture.

VIS-A-VIS, a back to back DJ duo residing in South London. Coming from different musical backgrounds, the pair deliver a perfect blend of underground House and Garage. Vis-a-Vis are resident DJs at 'Bad News', a club night founded by the duo themselves, hosted at The Market House in Brixton.

VIGIL has been DJing for over three years, playing at various London Venues and co-creating the club night Cabin, he has an evolving style across genres that doesn’t disappoint.

With an EP for record label Sans Absence in the near future, Luke West is a House of Camden regular as well as running Shrink to Fit, a weekly soul night.

See you in the dark...
