LET THEM EAT GAK ON 27th MAY 2008

This week jerky punky indie rock with:

THE PATIO SET

Proggy, electro, Gypsy Jazz-infused four piece. The Patio Set is a one stop shop for the commercial kitchen fabricator, supplying most of the major O.E.M.'s and also looking after smaller businesses, service companies and end users in the UK and worldwide.
Influenced by Nudity and Solenoid Valves and sounding like "Matio Flet" "Fatio Bet" "Mosquito Net" "Little Red Corvette" "Bass Clarinet" "Stomach Upset" "Third World Debt" oooh, and the Pigeon Detectives.

SLUMMIN ANGELS

Slummin Angels are a young, promising, fresh band from East London. Their energetic live performances and loud indie tunes have been compared to the likes of The Subways & The Pixies. Their raw sound and catchy songs make this band a must to see live!

"… I give credit to any band that's got a female singer that sounds like Frank Black outta The Pixies!!!! Very well executed Pixies style 90s shaped indie. Pavement type dynamics and simplicity reigns… it's a yes for us". - Bugbear Bookings

KING OF CONSPIRACY

After 3 years, looking for his final line up, KING OF CONSPIRACY finally started in 2006 to tour intensively. This band from Paris were on tour in September 2006 in the UK for 3 weeks, playing 16 gigs in London touring Wales, Scotland and cities like Manchester, Bristol and Leicester supporting THE AGGROLITES (Hellcat Records). Every gig was booked by themselves and with only 6 months playing with this lineup. This rock/garage/noisy/punk band, or whatever you call it, came back in 2007 in the UK for a couple of gigs there (Bristol/London). During their tour they also played various cities in France (Lille, Cean, Paris, Saint-étienne...) and in Belgium (Liege). After a few demos, and their EP with 6 tracks that they recorded in April of '06 , KING OF CONSPIRACY is now going to record their first full album in June/July of 2007. They were back on tour in the UK for an two months in October playing more than 40 gigs. KOC will be back in the United Kingdom in may for a month...

"It has to be said there is a lot of energy and zest in their performance and it is always nice to see a band give a big-stadium performance regardless of the size of the venue. I can picture them doing exactly the same thing in the basement every weekend, crowd or no crowd." - LIVE REVIEW LEEDS 09/25/06

THE GETAWAY TEAM

They started writing together mid 2006, and found a knack of producing some catchy pop songs, with some pop-punk and indie thrown in!

In the past few months, they have started playing those songs in what has become an exciting, adrenaline-fueled live show. They've recently finished recording out debut mini album titled 'Haven't You Heard', out May 12th.

VILE BODIES

"Vile Bodies Had some good reaction to their set tonight. These guys play a super cool kind of music and we like a lot. Playing unplugged while their new drummer settles in. Would be great to hear these as a full band as their indie stylings are definately what we like to put on." - Review of gig at the Oh! Bar, Camden

"Delightful and melodic indie-pop...music for people who live by the seaside and appreciate a good thunderstorm...a special new group." - Planet Sound
