Hot on the heels of our annual Corsica Studios Summer Rave, we're back at Rhythm Factory for our second bank holiday Scand collabathon of the year. May's event was possibly our rowdiest party to date, so we thought it only right to up the ante with an even longer, stronger billing than before, packed to the rafters with techno/electro talent from across the UK and Europe. We hope you dig what we've put together...

Jetting over from his Berlin base, Peter Van Hoesen will be making his second headlining appearance at Colony this evening, topping the room 1 bill with a DJ set that promises to showcase both the bleeding edge of contemporary techno (much of which hits the shops via his revered Time To Express imprint), and more wide-ranging sounds from across the ages. He's truly one of Europe's leading underground jocks these days, travelling across the world - to Japan's Labyrinth festival each year, not least - to ply his trade, and it's with open arms that we welcome him back for two hours of eastside carnage. Second up, Ben Gibson will be dropping in for a rare live PA, showing why his current crop of productions - for the likes of M_Rec and Sect - have been making us very wobbly at the knees of late. A former Perc Trax and Axis contributor, expect a cold, dark slab of driving, Millsian techno from him, with lashings of bass and absolutely no concessions to the herd. Equally stripped and nasty will be the first-ever club appearance of London's mysterious MPIA3, whose raw, overdriven acid techno bangers have been destroying clubs left, right and centre of late, and are finally making an appearance on wax via Shifted's much-vaunted Avian imprint. Expect hi-energy, low-compromise sounds from him, washed down with lashings of cheap cider (we hope). Finally, as if all that weren't enough, Birmingham's Bethany Skirt - whose set for Plex in June and recent remix work for Semantica have really impressed - will be joining us for a typically tough, grooving session behind the 1210s, drawing on an extensive and lovingly assembled vinyl collection. Support, as ever, comes from Colony ressies Tengui, MB and CB.

Over in room 2, meanwhile, Scand have whipped up an equally crunchy billing, topped by recent Wang Trax LP contributor and general UK rave legend Keith Teniswood aka Radioactive Man, whose work with Andrew Weatherall as part of Two Lone Swordsmen and subsequent solo output is littered with idiosyncratic classics. He'll be dropping a typically bouncy, funk-laden set for you all to lose your nut(s) to, no doubt drawing heavily on said new album and recent collaborative gear with past guest Billy Nasty too. Additional funked up heaviness comes from two of the electro undergound's hottest live acts: Morphology and DeFeKT, both playing full hardware PAs. Morph have been all but on fire of late, releasing a succession of deep, freaky, beautifully crafted EPs on all the right labels (including Sync 24's ever-impressive Cultivated Electronics imprint), while DeFeKT has recently completed sterling remix work for Combat Recordings and contributed to Rob Booth's epic-looking Electronic Explorations comp. Expect classy, acid/bass-drenched sounds from both. Support comes from Scand regulars Sync 24, Innume, agent2 and Steve Allman, traversing the many faces of true-school electro without ever losing sight of the D-floor, as per.

We've had to up the door charge for this one a touch, but it's still free before 11, and only £5+BF in advance - pretty ridiculous considering the scale of the line-up. As usual, expect friendly staff, cheap(ish) drinks and, most importantly, a kicking vibe throughout - thanks in no small part to the club's badass main room rig. And don't forget the 6am finish, folks: this is the real deal, no less. We do hope you'll join us.
